Why do you say the ball valves will help with feeding?
If I may...
Closing valves during feeding, will allow the food to be unaffected by water current.
It also keeps the food out of the filter.
When the fish are done feeding, remember to open the valves and continue to filter the water as usual.;)

Zennzzo,

This might sound dumb. Your location says Korea, but you say you are in Africa????

At the time of posting that reply, I was working in Angola.

You know the "young jet set" always has winter in warm places...:naughty::naughty::naughty:

Thanks for stepping in Zennzzo, but if I was to choose somewhere warm for winter, Angola would be very low on my list....Thailand would be a better choice

Bass,

Love the thread. Read it through about a month ago, and came back for updates after joining. As someone looking to do a plywood build starting next year any good advice?????

Here are my thoughts after much research:

8 - 10 feet long (Prob 8) divided into 2 sections by a styro/dryloc divider

24" high 24" wide minus internal overflow.

Calcs including wood thickness 240 ish gallons

Great work,

Bear

How are you doing man? Haven't heard anything in awhile
