For sure understood where you're coming from, really lame there are these shysters out there trying to relieve people of there hard-earned money. These scams are definitely not offputting to anyone new to arowana and interested in getting one.
Nope, not at all. No-siree.
For those newer to Arowana, a couple of hints:
a) if someone is advertising to sell fish that are illegal in one's country, it's almost assuredly a scam but regardless, move on.
b) if an outfit with an USA number or address is advertising to sell Asian Arowana, it's for sure a scam, move on.
c) if some place is advertising that they have like 10-20 different varieties of Asian Arowana in stock, it's almost assuredly a scam, move on.
I would be extremely shocked if any place, even the most reputable Arowana shops, brokers or farms in SEA had 15-20 different varieties of Asian Arowana on hand lol. Some shops might have 4-6 if they're lucky, and some bigger farms like Qian Hu in Singapore might have a few more (but most farms specialize in just 2-4) -- I'd wager that nobody has that kind of variety on hand for sale these guys are offering. Just BS and using the old 'kid in the candy store' effect to lure in dreamy fish keepers.
