• We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo

Anyone ever check out these fiberglass tanks with viewing windows???

My reason for upgrading: I rescued these guys from a biology student at NC State a few month's ago (F2 Mono's) with the intention of nursing them back to health and re-homing them (they were in very poor health and condition). Well, not many people around here are capable of housing these guys for the short term, much less for life...not to mention I have become attached to them. I have them in my 180 for now @ around 12" (It amazes me they are this small at almost 2yrs. old). I don't know how stunted they might be, but I think they deserve a big house.

Some one just come build my wall into one please, ill provide drinks, food, and space to work on it. Lol. Would be sweet at about 3k gallons but then again pacu mom's tank she has is really something. Can't remember how big it is but its something special.

Couple bass send them over to me that's child's play for large fish. They look good I'm thinking of getting back into some bass. Your not helping. You would be amazed at the space you have once your willing to ditch all the decor

My problem with large tanks is do I keep a few smaller ones or go for one crazy huge tank. But still I really only care about floor space as I am a ray addict and ill admit it anyday, now why Egon isn't is my question.

Ya his 4000 is a nice setup, would love to have that tank here. Well then again the money to run it and feed everything I put in it would kill me.

Since I got back into the hobby, nothing is ever big enough and I'm convinced my life will never be complete until I have at least a 400 gal.in my fish room..lol. I intended to keep my set-ups simple (110, 135(turtle's), 150, 110 (Hystrix ray pups))and only house what I could keep for life, but more and more I want to go big again. Had a Tenecor 300 in storage that I sold a while back and really wish I hadn't now. What they say is true...fish keeping is like a crack addiction.

Apache Dan has a 700 gallon Aquatico fiberglass tank. He even has the picture of the tank as his avatar.

It's kind of interesting that near the end of his thread, he discovers the Dolphin fiberglass tanks. His thread was my first introduction to Aquatico tanks. BTW, the price for the 405 gallon tank was $951 in 2010. So the price has gone up a little, but not that much. It's still a really great deal compared to an acrylic tank.

Absolutely, getting one of these tanks and doing a little dressing up will allow me to put more into necessities (filtration etc.). I think these are really an economical option compared to the rest of the market. What kind of filtration did you use on yours Pacu Mom?

You should PM xander and ApacheDan, since they have their tanks set up and running. Mine is not in use, but hopefully will be put to use as a sump. It's very painful to me that so far the tank has only been used as a catch all table while we built the fish room and the equipment room around it. :( :(
