I tried to do it but it's just so hard. I need to do it with a new dead fish and start in the summer to let it decay outside and it will also take time. Worst part is the rotten smell or some scavengers will take it away.

Yup... I had a Armatus check out on me and I tried to do this... a week later it was missing:irked:

I have to say, these skulls you keep digging up are very interesting:naughty:

I was digging some worms up this week and I came across the head of my 24" jar, not quite ready though- I got lucky, a few inches over and it wouldve be cut in half- what other process, if any, need to be done to get it as nice as yours?

King=eL, that's a beautiful memorabilia for the dead aro, keep it well preserved.

Thanks! I'm actually starting to dig up all the dead fish that I buried from my mom's garden before she starts doing gardening this upcoming spring.

Just try and boil it with alcohol because if you use water it will soften the skeleton and ruing everything. But be careful with alcohols they can catch fire.

Real cool! If it was mine I would have to mount it on a plaque and hang it on the wall somewhere for a conversation piece.

king-el, My teacher likes to do the same thing, but with mammals. He builds a cage and let it get eaten by fly and maggots. but the cage keep bigger animals from eating the body.
