A nice terracotta could look nice with the vibrant blue and blend in with the window frames. Or painting it bright white could give it a mediterranean feel.
The bare cement gives it a nice outdoor feel. Maybe just look at staining the concrete to give it a weathered look. Perhaps go the whole hog and make fake rock wall.

just my 2c not that I am in anyway artistically inclined.

Must be my lucky day.. managed to patch the hole made for the water return from the canister into the main tank.. I thought this one would remain a hole, i'd lose patience and jus go ahead with releasing the fish.. and that metal pipe has to be cut.. slight eyesore..
