Set some opera house or shrimp traps, shrink the openings with cut off plastic bottles so big ones cant get in pillies or fish for bait. Any creek has eels.

Anybody got any idea how much a pair of Leis (both 7/8 years old proven breeders) would be worth ?

Good price, dont think you would do better, cost more than that for me to ship you one. Definately dont trust the sooty, maybe the LFS will do a part trade on the Lei ?
 
Yeah I wouldnt trust any expensive fish in a tank with a sooty, they arent so bad if they are added last and the fish are much bigger than they are.
 
was thinking of trading it in, their selling sooties right now (last week) for i think 15cm for $40 if i could get $20 or $30 would be great, their selling a jardini with a missing eye arnd 25cm for $50, also some hacker stuffed up plecofanatics, well my sooty is pretty aggresive, well he doesnt show it until the is no movement and snap one fish down, he does the same move, he attacks the stomach, but if their is larger aggresive fish he wont attack, he was intimitated by my rendahl until he realised he could kill him
