Aussie natives Stocking.

Nice Cam, was thinking about doing a nano native, got some neon rainbows in store atm, been eyeing them up. Would they need a heated tank at all?

Steve, I was going to say $300, but $500 does sound resonable, only said $300 because i'm a cheap ass. Just curious, what do you keep them in?

Dan, threadfin rainbows are very cool, I love how the males fins go black when they are well conditioned.

Anybody in need of some 18" tanks + spongefilters for the tanks?

Leis are in a pond :D
Werneri are my favourite Aussie rainbows heard of some gold morphs but have not seen one.
Whats a Neon M. praecox ?
Pics not mine but one of my favorites

I meant what size Steve, I am getting (fingers crossed) a 6x4x2 pond in the garage for breeding stingrays in the next year or so, just wondering if a compatible pair of leis would do okay in there.

Yes mate, M.praecox, dwarf neon rainbows.

Sorry Eric Leis are Aros after all, dont think many breeders are very keen to discuss breeding methodology on forums. A few hints though.
Pond needs to be bigger.
Pond enviroment needs to be natural.
And of course you need a pair not easy to determine, hard to canulate unless you do it at the right time. And I personally consider morphology to be IP.
Easiest method is to chuck and chance 10 fish into a dam this also has many variables though.

Wow, who knew that asking what size is suitable that you would get such a protective response .

Understandable mate. I hope you have some other lei breeders for my little ones.

Spent last sat/sun on NPD tagging bass tagged 35 from a little tacker 19cm that would have been stocked last october to a couple 40 cm, no big girls unfortunately. My mate Dan hooked what we thought was a monster bass turned out to be a forkie. 12 of these all similar size have been caught in the last 2 months, only ever heard of 1 2 years ago before this. Dont know where they have appeared from?
