Easy, if they become illegal they will no longer be geophagus :naughty:.
I doubt they would seriously try add them to the noxious list. Too common in the hobby now, would be a nightmare like trying to ban jags or dovii.

IMO there is very little rationality in any of the noxious or prescribed lists
G, brasiliensis will probably get listed, easy to shut the gate after the horse has bolted and pat yourself on the back.
Took some pics yesterday got a new camera but cant upload them dont know how to work photobucket ect.

And even if they did try to, it would take a few years, and by then the brasiliensis complex would have been reclassified, meaning true Geophagus species would be safe.

That is probably why Red Devils won't be noxious, yes they are released and feral, but there is pretty much one in every 10th fishtank out there.

Went fishing, offshore, down past cronulla. 12 boys, we caught 45 fish in all. Started of with 3 Bonito on the way out, trawling, fair size, 58-60cm ea. First spot we were pulling in $hit load of leather jackets of decent size. Mate caught a good 70cm Snapper. Second spot, not much, last spot we're all pulling in flathead out our ***es, I caught 3, seemed like everyone was pulling em in all at once. Good trip, in all, sunk a heap of pi$$, good fish, and a good day!

Sounds like a mad trip.

Today I had some idiot woman approach me and my mate while we were fishing. She was from the redcliffe council and tried to tell us that catching Tilapia and not returning them is illegal.. I was like "ummm, actually its illegal to not kill them...." she acted like a complete phuckhead and rang the police on us.

This is why I hate people from reddy....
