Went up the Atherton Tablelands today to catch some red eachamensis. Got some stunning males. Dropped some off to my mate and annoyed his eels for a bit. We are off tomor to try get more and then again all next weekend. Fingers crossed, these guys are really growing on me.
You got heaters running? One might have gone on the fitz and cranked up and boiled the tank. Wouldn't be the first time.Dudzy;4328731; said:
Never thought of boiling, myself I am a bit paranoid had plenty of disasters in the past. Expensive stock/favourites have thermostat cut out for heaters, house has back up generator, 2 spare cannisters and air sponges cycling in feeder tank, check everything when I get up and before I go to bed, if I go away get some to do the checks for me.

The joy of moving back to the tropics, no heaters all winter. And yes, the spare cannisters/seeded sponge filters etc are a must when it comes to exxy fish.
At my place in winter temp can range from 0 early AM to 25 in the arvo.
Today was 9 to 26 . Has not been as cold as last winter though my house power bill was $790 for the winter quarter last year.
