Azul Breeding Project 2024

Dang mate! Are my eyes deceiving me or have these guys grown like 5” in 2.5 months? Not only in length, but body mass 🤩
What are your feeding them?

They are definitely growing. At first i was only feeding them frozen gobies. Recently made a mixture of food. Catfish/silversides/tilapia/cod and i add in vitachem to the mix. So they get gobies one day and the mixture the following day. I only feed them once a day also. these azuls never ate and dont eat pellets.

Very cool. Approx how long are they now? Maybe it’s camera angle or proximity to the tank but they seriously look massive compared to 2 months ago.
Will you try to get them into pellets? Where do you source your frozen goby’s?
Cool thread to follow!

Appreciate you. I don't know their exact size but i'd guess 6" When i move them i will get a measurement. But they definitely have grown since i got them. I dont really feed pellets to be honest. Other fish i do but these ones no. I get the gobies from Predatory Fins.

Can't believe i only had them for only a little over a month. they put on some serious size. i do 30 gallon water changes every other day on their 225 gallon tank.

Feeding as is,

What i do is cut these into pieces and mix them together. I mix, Tilapia, Catfish, Silversides, Mahi Mahi, Pacific Whiting and add in vita chem. Freeze it. Then break off what i feed. Then i also feed frozen krill and predatory fins frozen gobies. I dont feed them no pellets at all.

I am also going to rescape thier 225 gallon per soon. Substrate is making them stay darker and now showing off thier super blue tones. Other then that, i will be posting more pictures soon.
