Exciting update! I added live plants to my 225-gallon Peacock Bass tank yesterday!

Now, I'll wait patiently for them to grow, propagate, and fill in the gaps. Live plants are a game-changer for fish tanks, offering numerous benefits:

- Improved water quality
- Increased oxygen levels
- Enhanced habitat for fish and invertebrates
- Reduced algae growth
- Natural food source for herbivorous fish
- Aesthetic appeal and visual interest
- Creates a natural environment for fish to thrive

Can't wait to see the transformation in my tank! Stay tuned for updates on my Peacock Bass tank's progress!

Lookin good Mike. Notice any behavioral differences with the addition of the plants? Are they more calm? More stealthy? Or perhaps no difference except for aesthetically for you 😆

For the dirty dozen,

I only feed a couple times a week now. In the wild cichla are slender and not chunky. With Feeding a couple times a week it will keep them slender and healthier. Plus more active. When i mention slender its not to the point of sunken belly look its more of the belly looking sorta flat if that makes sense.
