I recently got a Generac generator that turns on and runs everything in my home, including three central a/c systems, whenever the utility power goes out. It runs on a propane tank that will keep it running for over 2 weeks at full load. Living in a hurricane belt I feel this is one of the best things I ever did for peace of mind.
