I was going to post this in the photo section...but as long it was going to be Jumbo I thought I would post it here. For those who don't know, Jumbo's father was a regular morph managuense...his moter was gold. You can't pick it up well on photo but at the base of the rear of his pelvic fins their is a band of color that looks like 24 carat gold. Really cool. I have to concentrate on photographing that. A while back he swallowed a three inch marble. I had to take him out and do some emergency service...pushing the ball out of his mouth with my thumbs trough his operculum...it was sheer panic when I saw him do that. I measured him at that time. From tip of nose to the base of his caudal peduncle he is 14.5" I don't know what the tail ads.

Thanks to all of the Jumbonatics. I have never owned a fish that has received as much attention as this guy. Literally...I have received e-mails and questions from people all over the world about this one particular fish. Without a doubt he is my SINGLE wet pet. The rest are just fish.

Some shots of the mad managuense. Shortly after this my cat walked on top of his tank...first time for that...and Jumbo hit the tank lid so hard that the cat launched itself up and damn near landed on the ceiling fan...last time for that.

I took about twenty photos in various mouth state of open. All I did was sit back and wiggle my toes at the front of the tank...then take the picture.

I set the flash and create a "staging area" where the light will be the most effective. These two shots were taken as he cruised through. It really picks up the irradescent colors in his fins.

Photography at it's best------Excellent shots per usual Mo

Jumbo does have one hell of an attitude:)

Awesome new picks of Mr. Attitude.

Hey Mo, any chance of making some new Jumbo videos? I'd love to see some (I'm sure I'm not the only one who would).

Keep in mind those pics are helped to look more attractive by the photographers that took them. Meaning a good photographer/camera can mean the difference between appealing and not. The xanthic never really had that level shot taken of it I don't think. And even though you might not find it attractive others might so possibly why the other votes?

Honestly I can't say if they were all in front of me in real life,(to the common fishkeeper) that there's a difference in most of them besides photographers and variants. They're all large jags. Really you can't decifer a winner.

I could be one sided and vote for who I know, or whatever. But keeping it real they're all nice. :)
i take all my pics with a camera phone lol!

always fun to inspire people into the wonderful world of jaguar keeping:D

definitely, and wow Mo, I voted Rally's but Jumbo is a beastly top specimen as well.

Hey XR, about bulking your guy up, in honesty (and this of course is just my opinion) I prefer the more slender, stream lined look...seems more purposeful and better equiped to be a top predator
