I have a 7 inch bichir and a 4 inch albino tiger oscar. They get along OK now how long do you think they can live together :)

I've had success with bichirs and oscars in the past, but from what I've read, some bichirs can be straight up nasty.

Your bichir is a decent size, you should be able to keep them together for as long as you have them.

hth bro

awesome thanks thats good news

depends if they grow together at the same sizes then should be normal time but if the oscar grows bigger then the bichir they may start fighting

I don't think oscar and bichir will fight.

IME Oscars grow in huge spurts. I got a 3in tiger about two months ago and he's up to 5in now and really thick.

I just put an 8" tiger oscar in my 350 with two almost 20" endlis. The endlis seem to be lazy enough as not to bother the oscar but the oscar has pretty much steered clear of them. They're scary looking to the oscar I think.

Hello,

one member here had posted a pic of a damaged Polypterus senegalus - with lost eyes and a really severed head. The specimen died.

My former Ornate killed at a size of almost 11" a Jack Dempsey of a size of 6" - and eat him acting like a shark.

Two different situations ...

If you would have 50 keepers keeping bichirs and oscars together - 48 with success, one with a dead bichir, one with a dead oscar ... what would you do?

Greetings
Uwe
