biggest koi

that's almost that big it's ridiculous!! haha
 
I visited the BKKS national show in the UK last summer, and have some small videoclips here: http://www.putfile.com/royloevmyr/media

Generally a Koi is grown up when it's 7 years old, but it's growth-potensial is 0-5 years.

It's an ongoing bet who will be the first too grow a Koi to the lenght of one meter within 5 years (outside Japan)...
UK are concidered the only country outside Japan that really are cerious enough about the hobby to have a chance..

These fish are only fed the highest quality japanese food 8 times a day (!)
And they are kept in extremely wellfiltered water (big tricle towers).

there is a koi in a lake here in iowa that is like 3 ft long the pond is by my house and my uncle and i were bas fishing and we seen it .. i have seen it many times its all gold and there is a nother koi in there that is big too

ya by my old house there is 2 big as koi at about 3' plus in there. they have been in there for 10 or more years. everyone trys to catch them but there way smart. oh its a small lake thats why people see them all the time. im about to get a net and get that thing. maybe some one one here has seen them its a small lake in rancho santa margarita in so cal.
