Black lancer is having aterrible time with ich

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sunday morning update. Can't see her too well, i had to approach from an odd angle so notbto spook her. But her breathing is stronger but not panting like before, and her color has come back.

Sorry to see all this trouble. Kordon rid ich is great stuff. I don't recall a single complaint if applied correctly.

For posterity, what remains to see is whether such a bad reaction to salt+temp is typical or atypical for black lancers.

It would be nice to know either way, but espeacially if it is typical.
I wonder if they are a head water fish...

That is great news for your cat. Im thinking one of mine is going to die in the next few days. No ich anymore, still breathing extremely fast all day/night, not eating and wasting away to a skinny stick. I hope it isnt something i missed with treatment. Other cat is fine, but breathing patterns are all over the place. These cats have been nothing but a headache since i got them. Now regretting my purchase.

If I assume wrongly that you are talking about this thread http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/catfish-wont-eat.665069/#post-7481707 which features jaguar catfish, not lancers, I apologize.

Sorry to here about the bad news about your jaguars @Slippery K. Could it be a internal parasite?

If mine survives this ordeal, I plan on feeding her as much as she wants. I still have hope because she eats a few brineshrimp when I target feed her.

Day two of Rid ich plus treatment update.
Most visible ich is back to being only on her fins.
I am hoping that the ich on her gills is also reducing in number too
