Bonsai Flowerhorn x Blood Parrot Breeding Project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I haven't have any Flower horn in 2 years so i dont really remember, but I think that the temperature affect the fish will be more male or more female. 76 F should be ok, the eggs should hatch in about 4-5 days. When I begin breeding these fish 3 yrs ago, the temperature was like 90-100F (in Vietnam) so its take only 2 days to hatch the eggs, then they eat moss after they hatched a few days. You may need to put some moss near the eggs so they can eat them. Normally, the parents will put the fry to the moss so they can eat them !

feed up the female, she will be ready for a bout a month !

@ JT: so you didn't find any fry ?

@ JT: well in your case, if the male is not chasing off and hitting the female, I would give them a few days because as long as the fry still there, the parents won't fight each other !
