Breeding Projekt Pleco or Oddballs

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Im not sure if i would do that. Both platys and brittlenose eat algue and compete for food with sewellia for example

Also fully planted with big plants = no stream so i dont know how you wane make it hillstream. but it might be impossible in a fully planted tank

The biggest thing of concern to the fry is simply the presence of other fish. They will eat eggs and fry unless you’re dealing with fish that show strong parental care. This is why most breeding projects have to be single species.

I have aplanted tank in the juwel tank 200 liters with some fish in it. Is that okay for them cockroach cockroach
As long there 8s a lot oxygen, ie aeration, they should be ok. A single, low watt, powerhead outlet for them to chill in would be fine. Nothing special of extra strong. Plants, no problem.

Good point. With my sewellia, when the fry reach “teenager” size the fry stop appearing and only what I have remain.
I ASSUME THIS:
The fry get large enough to eat the newly eggs but remain small enough to slip in and out of crevices without the laying parents being able to stop them.
So I remove all young fry I can ro separate tanks

i would like to put them in my planted tank it has neon sae britllenose and platys
In a 200 litre tank. Something as small as 400~500L/hr set in the right space will work.
A spray bar dropped to substrate level may even work. Just add an airstone for aeration.
