When you see the babies darting in and out of the rocks and feeding time. You may also notice the adults do their mating dance but I am not usually around for that.
The lay in amongst/under the large rock piles. Try feeding high quality veg pellets once a day and then a frozen food like brine shrimp once a day too. I have used bloodworms but they always bring in planeria so have stopped.
Condition for a week or two then do a decent water change with cooler water or rain water. That should set them off.
