Anyone ever heard of these guys being kept as pets? They get anywhere from 2 to 3.5 meters which is comparable to spectacled caiman. They're also not particularly endangered.
I don't see why these things really have not yet entered the trade in any quantity; certainly worse things (like nile and cuban crocodiles) have.

Im sure you can find them. Why? Do you want one?

Iv found quite a few species and hybrids(at least 4 or 5 hybrids) kept as pets, but sadly i havent kept a catalog of what all Iv found. I should. I want more crocadilians. many more :D

I certainly wouldn't want one over a Chinese Alligator or a Dwarf Crocodile, but they'd be a runner up following those two. I'd take a Black Caiman too but, oh man I'd need a big enclosure (and some backup) for that.

I was asking because I had never heard of these guys being available before (same for black caiman but for rather obvious reasons). They seem like THAT crocodilian which no one pays attention too. I can't even find much information about them and there's like only 2 videos of them on Youtube.

So are american alligators but they are still in captivity.

Ask the right people and be willing to pay the right amount and you can get anything you want.

^yep

You would be supprised at what crocs are in captivity.

Ask snakeguy. When i was looking for my caiman, i sent him a ton of very cool caimans for sale, including some odd hybrids.
