ok, here's a little update. Slab done. Frame cut. I'm hoping to set the frame today. I couldn't get enough people together for Sat to help set the glass, so it's been re-scheduled for next weekend. I bought 3 of those (4) suction cup glass lifting handles so it shouldn't be too bad, but I need 3 people, and 2 of my best picks are injured. My brother in law was in a car accident about 2 months ago and smashed one of his vertibra and can't lift anything over 50lbs. My other best chap wrecked his dirtbike about 2 months ago and tore his ACL. He's still got his leg in a brace. My 3rd best went to Florida for a week and wont be back til Monday next week. ARGGGGGG. I did get 2 people but I would like to have 2 others there for backup.
Anyway, enough babble. I'll try to post pics tonight of the frame installation. I'm doing some painting of the walls this weekend too. Try to get as much of the other stuff done as possible, so that after the glass goes in, all i have to do is seal the whole thing. I'm HOPING to build the filter Sunday.
Oh, one last thing. I did purchase the glass primer from sanitred. It was only $15 to prime the glass. I figured while I was at it I'd get another gallon of permaflex. So I did. I'll now be doing over 4 coats of permaflex.

So if you look close in the last picture you can see that theres several pieces of wood there. The top piece has a notch cut out of it along the 8" side. That notch is 1/2" deep by 2" wide. The reason for it is that because the glass I got was free and wasn't specified to fit a framed opening in a masonary structure, it was just 1/2" longer than the block and lumber would accept. Not bad actually. It could've been worse if it was another 3" longer. So those notched pieces are the side rails and the end of the glass will fit into the notch with 1/4" on each side of the glass for the LRB to squeeze out of. The pics will show that better when it's installed.
