FISH-ON!! baby...
there's nuthin like the aerials and tail dancing, full well knowing they been to the Ocean and back and survived the perils of that journey...
It's better than Blue water tug-o-war on Marlin and such.
I had a comercial fishing accident last feb 12, a year ago...I ran the back deck, and on the way in with a load of Dungeness Crab, the idiot on wheel watch fell asleep without the alarm on...He crashed her on the rocks and I was lucky to have survived....thank God for miracles and Maritime attorneys.

Maybe a fatty Driftboat will be in the driveway when you get to come out...
We'll hook a few...
Holy crap man! I've watched every episode of dealiest catch. It's one of my favorite shows. I have a whole new respect for that profession, and I will never ever complain about the price of crab!
Heck yeah on the driftboat. My pal that owns a camp in Ft. Smith Montana on the Big Horn has a lavro. Nice boat. That river is insane if you ever get a chance. I could maybe hook you up with my bud if you wanted to rent the place for a few days.
Well, I'm sick as HE.. with a sinus infection same as my little one. I haven't touched the pond all weekend, so I figured I'd get some pics up. I don't know if you guys are bored of seeing this concrete block stuff, but I sure am. I'm ready to get the friggin glass in and finish this thing!!! I'm thinking about takin a few days off in the next week or so and just pound away at it.
This is a shot of the first coat of sanitred on half the tank. I decided after this that I'd use the LRB and start to spackle the little indents etc.
This is with the LRB spackled on.
This is the other side with the spackle. Notice I still haven't finished filling the cores with concrete, and finishing up the overflow "notch".
Just an overall shot with the LRB.
shot of LRB on overflow wall
This is the first full coat of permaflex on the whole tank.
This wall has all 3ish coats of permaflex/LRB so it's done. Just gotta get the LRB all the way around the slab at the bottom, then paint the floor with permaflex and 2 more coats on the walls of the rest of the tank.
These are the parts to the stand that will hold the mech filter.
Here's the stand complete and the mech filter levitating on top
There's a shelf there (gone now). I decided on this arrangment because it gave the most room to work in the back area of the tank. We decided the washer and dryer are being relocated once I get the tank runnning. That area will be walled off with a door for access, so it'll be the mechanical room for the tank. If my filter isn't enough, after I move the washer/dryer, I'll switch to using 3 55 gal trash cans with a return pump. I just really don't like the idea of a pump below the water line pushing the water up. I know with float valve switches, check valves etc. it can be done, it's just more parts to fail, and potentially flood the house
I really want to keep the system of pumping the water up to the filter boxes and letting gravity dump it back in the tank. No way for that to fail.
