Wow. Excellent work. The fact that this is in IL means you're going to be my template when I build mine next year. Will you be accepting work as a consultant next summer?

That's a perfect nook for that tank too. I am going to be such a pain in the ass when looking at houses to buy because I'll place so much importance on the layout of the basement and how it'll fit into my tank building plans. Major bonus points will go to any house with outdoor access to the basement. (Why did they stop doing this? The old house I grew up in in NY had exterior double doors but no new houses ever think to do this anymore.)

Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the finished product (and then copy it, heh).

Pond armor is on order.. Should be here next week sometime.

I am already seeing a problem that I think I can fix by replacing the 2x4 headers with a solid 4x4. There is a sag in the 123" span that I am sure will go away if I use a 4x4. Either that or I ssplit the window and I am not interested in doing that jsut yet.

Tomorrow I will go buy a 10' long 4x4 and undo some screws and wedge it in where it belongs and see how it goes. Then I can acid wash my concrete panels and cut them to size and get those glued in place.

Here are the updates for tonight.

Wow that look really good, what you use to apply on the flywood for finish, fiberglass and epoxy? I really wanna see how you work it out with some pic.
