I had more than 10 species of fresh water puffers starting about 12 years ago and over the years they have all passed on except for one of the more recent additions, a mbu (Tetraodon mbu) which I acquired from Biotope in Montreal in 2001 at about 2-3 inches. He is doing OK in a 108 by himself and is probably about 16+ inches.
Cool! Pics? Why don't you put him in your 15k or 50k?

Arapaimag - that is really cool :) My biggest tank is a 125, and i have no babies in their. However, my 55 gallon malawi tank has tons of babies, so i can imagine yours in a tank that is 1000 times bigger would do well as well :p

thanks for answering

He would be eaten/killed by the big cats. He is far too slow for the tank. Cichlids can survive because of their smarts and quickness better than a slow puffer. The Wallago can and has taken down a 30+" fish. The mbu puffer is only about 18".

Anyway I have several other tanks where I can keep fish that I also would rather not put in the big tanks because of safety concerns. This is a fantasatic hobby and mine includes small fish from bettas/small tetras etc. to my monsters.

Here is a 24" Merodontus tigrinus that I bought at The Fish Place in North Tonawanda from Jake in Janusry 2006 at about 12". He is another fish that would not do well in the big tanks. He enjoys his 180g 72x24x24

I also keep koi and goldfish and enjoy them also. I bring some inside to overwinter and back outside into ponds in the summers. These are in a 360g 96x36x24 in the winter.

I like all fish and have quite a few pet goldfish most of them I breed for years in my outside ponds. The first pic is a pond roughly about 30' by 20' with koi. the second pic is a bigger pond about 90 to 100 feet by 50 to 60' feet wide full of goldfish. The picture is taken from a gazebo in the pond connected by a bridge.

The Wallago pics are a few years ago and the glass is dirty when my friend took them. I had just feed about 20lbs of mackeral and trout into the tank and I always make a mess.:irked:

Wow...thankyou! Awesome. What do you feed to your wallagos?
I feed them trout, salmon, mackeral, herring & pellets.

They also eat fish they catch in the tank
