Thanks Arapaimag for sharing your tanks & fish with us, truely an awesome setup. Took me a few hours to read every post but well worth the time.

BTW you mentioned that you thought the tank would only last 10 years, what were you planning on doing with all your monster fish if the tank was no longer going to hold up?

Also can you post some more pictures of your pond, it looks great.

Gee Batman

Thanks for the kind words.

I hope that when the tank leaks (as it will one day) I can move some of the fish to other tanks in my house including the 15k. If it is in the summer months I can also move some fish to my outside ponds ( I have about a dozen) while I attempt to have the leak repaired. The arapaimas I hope to put into the half of the tank that is not leaking while the side that is leaking can be repaired. I built that 4' wall as a safety.

I will try and get friends to take some pictures of some of my ponds over the next few months and post them at that time.

i want to build a 500 gallon wooden sided tank and thought i was doing something great. well....now i hav something to be jealous about and try to get one myself :P

This "Holy Crap!" moment was brought to you by arapaimag. Was the aquarium an addition to your house? or was your house just a living space built next to an aquarium?

Thanks for the kind words and welcome to MFK

Just to show some of you that I actually do keep everything from bettas to arapaimas here is a goldfish of mine that won a first place last year.

What fish do you keep as a hobbyist in India?

I forgot to mention that super photographer Dave Unruh took the picture.

The goldfish was bought him small at Big Al's in Oakville from Simon and I raised him to championship size in a 180 with 4 other goldfish.

:WHOA:Very nice, I hope one day have the possibility to have a Mega Tank just like you ...
