With very few exceptions I raised the fish from small fry. For example 2 of the redtails I got from Jerry Draper at The Tropical Fish Room at 2 inches. The Wallego I got from Aquarium Services (Big Al's) in 1992 at about a foot. The Arapiamas were only about 6-7 inches when I got them.
