Oz It's great to have you on MFK

Very glad you enjoyed the video.

I like cichlids too and have a lot in the 52k and my 809 and then mixed among my other tanks.

You sure have monsters Downunder what's your wishlist and what have you got already?

Well atm I have a 3 foot tank with African Cichlids that are medium size, a 2 foot tank dedicated solely to my Red Devil (Midas) which I hope will grow nice and big and then there is the 6 foot tank I have in my garage with 1 Barramundi, 1 Tarpon, 1 Scat, 1 Mono and 1 Archer fish. I am hoping to get some size on all of them soon. A friend of mine came over last night and advised feeding them green stuff - cucumber etc. Being a successful MFK, what would you recommend for me to feed my fish in order to accellerate growth?

I don't ever push to accelerate growth so I really can not help in that area. I did have an Atlantic tarpon in the 15k and got him over 36" in the fresh water but he died without salt.

I've raised decent size monos and scats by feeding mackerel/herring/smelts/flakes/pellets and raising them in full marine water and then slowly changing to fresh over a year period or so.

An hobbyist I know grows his fish super fast by major twice a week water changes and feeding good quality trout pellets and dew worms.

Good luck with your fish

ive enjoyed reading all 157 pages, im still in awe, this is truly an amazing tank. Thank you for sharing with us. I can only hope to dream and get a 200+Gal, but it makes me happy to know that people that are just as interested, or more interested in fish as me can own such a tank.
