Nice discus, do they breed?

Yes but I don't culture the babies so they perish in the 810g

Killifish on the wishlist?

Not really

What else?

Looking to replace my Ossubtus xinguensis colony that died when I was ill.

Guppies in the 52k? Amazing! Do you sell the offspring from other tanks or are they for the piscivores as well?

I seldom sell fish

Would you let a tv-crew to make a program

No I have no interest and have turned down 6 requests so far.

More pictures of Osphronemus species.

I have a total of 11 in the 15,000.

Group A:
I got 2 Osphronemus laticlavius and a Osphronemus goramy from Strictly Fish in Georgetown Ontario from Dave and Mike Mason in 1997.

Group B:
I got 1 Osphronemus laticlavius and 4 Osphronemus exodon from The Tropical Fish Room in Brantford Ontario from Jerry Draper in 2007

Group C:
I got 2 Osphronemus goramy from Aqua Tropics on Dundas St in Toronto, Ontario from Bob on New Years Day 2011. They had been in his big Central American Cichlid tank and were fighting too much with each other and his monster Central american cichlids. I gave him several Nandopsis Haitiensis and lots of Panaque nigrolineatus in exchange.

Wow, it is nice that you keep track of all your fishes and when it was bought.
Thanks

But it is an important part of the hobby to record your fish purchases and record what tanks they have been in. There size at purchase and death are interesting as is the price paid for fish over the years. Keeping track of who sold it to you also makes it easier to perhaps obtain another fish of that species if you know what dealer stocks them on a fairly regular basis. I keep track of every fish species in all of my tanks.

another picture taken by James Martin

This is a young 4" Hydrocynus goliath. The Goliath African Tiger Fish.

The second one I've owned. It is in a grow up 50g 189l tank. Eats herring, mackerel, smelt, shrimp, salmon, tuna and of course guppies etc.

I got this one from Oliver Lucanas at BelowWater in Montreal in December 2010. He might still have more.

Some pictures taken by Rusty Wessel.

The top picture is a Hydrocynus vittatus about 4" in a 55g 208g grow up tank. I have 3 H. vittatus another is also in a separate 55g 208l and another in it's own 50g 189l tank. I got them from Oliver Lucanus BelowWater at the same time as the H.goliath.

I put them together but the 3 H. vittatus attacked the H. goliath so I first moved the goliath he was the smallest at the time.

Then two of the remaining H. vittatus attacked the 3rd injuring an eye, so I separated them all.

I trained them all to eat cut up pieces of fish instead of live by putting large gold barbs in with them. The barbs would be attracted to the cut up pieces of fish and within days all 4 of the Hydrocynus were eating the cut up pieces of fish very well. I give them a few guppies once every week or two as well.

The bottom 2 pictures are of the H. goliath
