Thank you, Arapaimag.
Sorry for the constant questions.
What are the first 5 (realistic) entry on your
- fish-wish-
- fish-fame-of-hall (I hope it means what I meant)
- current fish to be proud of/- apple of your eye
list?
I enjoy actually all the fish I have from bettas & discus to my big cats and arapaima.

I'm always looking at various fish and would like to perhaps find some more species of Triportheus.

Do you still have any Dovii.......never seen you with Umbee? Just wondering you have the space to let these species get to ther max potential. I know they would be lunch in the monster tanks but what about growing them out to 20" then putting them in?

I've had 2 Parachromis dovi.

The first I bought from Scott Goddard at AA Pet store in Hamilton in 1996 for $10 at 5". He was in the 15,000 and was 22" when he died in 2009. (killed by my 26" black shark).

The second one I got from Dave at DJ's Tropics in Woodstock, Ontario at 7" in 2005. He is about 17" now and in the 52,000 since 2005.

I had an umbee (Caquetaia umbrifera) in the 15,000 from 2002 till it died in 2010. It was a female and never got very big. Only 13" when it died. I got it from The Fish Place in North Tonawanda New York.

I bought 3 Umbees as babies and all turned out to be female. Seldom see them in the stores I go to. The biggest male I have seen was Jeff Cardwell's male he entered in an ACA show in the 90's that was 24".

Those were Nics right? Not sure what you mean.
