How about your Long nose and Alligator Gars?

Btw, is your nasty Black shark still alive? I have read you keep it in the ponds in the summer. Does it bother fish in the ponds, or is it kept alone?

Both gars are doing well.

Black Nasty is great. He is in a 240 gallon tank (908 litres) now but does go outside every summer into ponds. He is normally in with a variety of small fish including guppies, rosy yellows and goldfish. He seems to eat a few but not all. They clean up small bits of food when he is fed. The photo was taken by Rusty Wessel in 2011.

The second pic was taken by Jim Martin in 2011 of the Atractosteus tristoechus in the 15,000.

The cuban is really nice but I actually had a nicer one but it was killed by Black Nasty the black shark.

Here is a pic my son took of the largest Brachyplatystoma tigrinum (Some people still call it a Merodontus tigrinus). It's in a 560 gallon (2120 litres) tank.

Here is a Singapore hobbyist's video of his tiger fish in a community tank and doing well. He appears to rule the tank but I do notice scales missing from taking on somebody. However it is a good video showing his speed and dominating personality. Mine are are wimps compared to him.

Jip this guy is really strutin his stuff thanks for the vid, also very nice tig.

I looked up the notorious black shark " Morulius chrysophekadion" you speak of in several posts that have killed fish of your's and it is hard to see it as a fish killer.
It took me by surprise that this guy is capable of killing the famous dovi.
It has that typical under slung sucker type mouth associated with labeo species. I guess what you mean is that these perished due to secondary infection from fins being torn or slime coat being sucked away, or do i completely underestimate the Morulius chrysophekadion?

Picture 005.jpgYes the Black shark just keeps sucking through the skin of big fish till infection does them in.

He has chewed right through some 10 inch goldfish when he was hungry.

But when he killed the Dovii, Cuban gar, a Jardini aro he did it overnight. So infection did not have a chance to kill the fish.....he did.

Here is the old pic back in 2003 of the 5'5 1/2" 126 lb Arapaima he killed over a period of time.

I read you once had a golden black shark in the 52k as well, but it was chased around by the black shark? Did the golden form show any aggression towards the other fish, or was it chased to much by the other shark to do much damage?
