Maybe, I just loved how much yellow they had and the flecks or orange mixed with those black freckles they had near their face. I really hope to find some again someday.

A 'just because' pic... just because it was out and being easy to take a pic of, lol
Not the best picture but is looking absolutely great! getting moved into a 220 gallon sometime soon to show off its beauty
A long overdue update. The Oscar is coming along but nowhere near the same yellow stripes as my fish of old. This guy does have a lot more red/copper in it. Its currently sits at about 8" and thats me keeping the growth rate slower. I am trying a different approach to my fishkeeping with slowing it down and not power growing the fish out during its early stages. Ive kept some nice cichlids in the past but they would only hit about 10 years old and pass. I really want to try to get my next batch of fish to 12-15 years old. Im doing the same approach with my trimac and pearsei in my other tanks too.

Long overdue update. Had to go into garage (fish room) this morning while it was still dark. Flipped light on and Oscar was unhappy but he was showing the pattern the way I wish he would during the day.
