Can I keep an amethyst rock or quartz in aquariums

I have all kinds of mineral spheres in the main tank with no problems. Just make sure there are no iron veins in what you choose.

Do NOT use coal, dolemite, limestone, sandstone, or pyrite (fools gold). Pretty much everything else is cool.
