OK. Let me break it down for those of you that don't 'get it'. What AttackFish is trying to explain is: tortoise are land based reptiles, they do not live in the water. Turtles are aquatic in nature. They live in ponds, lakes, streams, oceans, etc.

well totoises regularly go for dips so it's quite possible that it's a tortoise, and if he sound him in a river tht mean it wasn't his instinct to run right into the water, or that it was picked up by shore... i'll post a link to a general looking tortoise/water turtle (terrapin)...
