so then everyone who wants to raise silvers need tanks of 8"x4"? lol? duh and indoor bred silver will go to 30' max and its under specific conditions. i doubt most hobbyists will. so then everyone who would like to raise a 3" inch silver should get a 8'x4'. or maybe how much time should he change tanks? lol? duh

jcardona1 you are totally right about

he aro is just floating the middle of the tank. That leaves roughly 12" (thats 1ft) on each side of the tank. Where is he gonna go? He cant swim anywhere? Yeah he can turn around but then what? He's just gonna float there again.

yeah duh lol duh im gonna get a 3" silver and duh duh lol 8x4 duh lol duh duh.

Look guy, THE POINT IS, if you plan on keeping a SILVER AROWANA in your home FOR LIFE, a 150g tank (112g by your dimensions of 5x2x1.5) is NOT gonna be big enough no matter what kind of indoor/inbred arowana it is. PERIOD!!!! Is that so hard to understand?

see u havent even raised one to 3 ' and ur alreday talking big rofl. lol? duh then gt ur 8' if u want, when u'll BUY ur 3' lol

:nilly: you're a joke, im done here. To the OP, my advice to you is DONT take his advice!

Aw man, what happened to the popcorn smiley? This is perfect for it!

Anyway, J, I think his favorite word IS 'duh'

Other than that, I can't tell what that guy is trying to say.

As far as the aro goes, basically, the bigger the tank you can get, the better it is for the aro. Period.

You could keep an aro in a 5x2x whatever for life, but you could also keep yourself in a port-a-john for life too. In that case, neither you or the aro is gonna be very happy.
