Another ready to watch the epic fail in progress then;)

Ever figure out what you fancied stocking your tank with?
Im here only to cheer you on FTW!!! never like to see some one put so much effort in only to be met with problems.

I have got as far as an oscar, a pair (maybe a trio) of Redneck Severums. and then i will think about bottom feeders. I was very limited on my thread for suggestions, ppl were preoccupied with the **** trolling, and picking keyboard wars

Ok m8, you seem to have it all figured out, was just giving my 2 pennies worth as usuall  I still say a seal on the outside where you had your finger showing the water would help lots ( all around each frame should do it)

Its upto you how you tackle it and taking that window out is a good idea and the only place to start i suppose.

Now get cracking, no sleep for you tonight lol we wana see this monster filled and happy fish swiming around ;) :naughty:
Be good when you get to see it and see what you think when you're over on the weekend. I get where you mean now, yes i did think of that in the planning stages, would be a good double insurance against leaks there, will need to find another tube of the black stuff for that as that's the goodun for sticking to liner where's the silicone seems to be not so good but fine for glass on metal.

I'll try to remember to get pictures when i can of where i think the leak is and the glass coming out (Smiles nicely at mrs satan:D) Was hoping to have more water in by the time you came over so your fish could go straight into it rather than the pool:(

I would get cracking if i wasn't on night shift again, so frustrating!

You know when the Tarp pulled away when you put water in first time . Maybe same happened with the liner somewhere underneath the tarp . Hope it's not too drastic and you find it easy . Gonna be a killer pond when it's done .
Thanks mate, i'll save a space in it for the Dat;)

Luckily, a split in the liner would have manifested itself in a much more dramatic way than that. If you look back for the liner going in pictures you'll see that there's not the hanging tension on it like there was on the tarp so touch wood that's not an issue. A split and leaking liner will show itself as a huge emerging damp patch over the carpet from undernieth the build, as this water has come in a small stream from inside the window frame and out the edge it's suggesting it's just my crap silicone work.......luckily!

Story of my life, put work in, watch the fail and repairs required! Giving up is the true point of fail.

Sadly there's loads of internet warriors out there, it's easy to be a brave and abusive 5'6" rake of a teenager from behind a keyboard when you know you'll never meet the 6' big set monster you're trying to wind up and argue with on here.

Just an idea for your bottom feeder, but a little Jasoncambs lurking somewhere around here informs me there's a 5" Jurense at Waterzoo right now;) Would look good with the oscar but sevs might become a midnight snack when it's bigger.

Here here about the warriors, even worse when alot of them are on the other side of the world...... ah well. I will be more patient or ust have to learn from my mistakes.

Juruense in Waterzoo sounds great! they are such great looking catfish. Waterzoo is a top LFS. i hope they still have good stock in a few weeks time when the tank arrives and i get the beast cycled.

Good luck with your pond mate! I will stop hyjacking your thread now
