Ok I just ordered my first system...I am really happy with what I got for how much I will be spending. It is all boston acoustic and I heard that boston is some of the best but I have never heard them. The guys at car stereo one gave me a satisfaction garuntee and he also garunteed me I would be louder than my cousin's 2 12" JL W1's :D . Ok so here it is.

2 Boston Acoustic G1124
Boston Acoustic GT22 amp
"Custom" built ported box
Alpine CDA9883 headunit

Hopefully as soon as I get this paid off I can get boston speakers to go all the way around. Me and my cousin are going to have a boston vs. JL comp goin lol. He has 2(soon to be 4) 12" JL w1's with jl speakers all the way around and three JL amps. I am looking to do the same with boston eventually.

Boston Acoustics is one of the best, you won't be disappointed.
 
I am probably going to either run a second battery or just buy a cheap cap from my cousin since he will be running a second battery here soon and wont need his anymore. I am not too concerned with it though it shouldnt be pulling TOO much juice.

Yea I heard they are head to head with JL.

You have a chance of winning against your cousin if he only has W1. W0 and W1 are the entry level subs of JL and quite frankly, there are a lot other entry level subs that can kick it to the curb. I have always liked JL but I currently can't afford their higher end subs. If you have the money though, I would probably just have 2x12W3 or 1x12W6V2. Those things can crack windshields and loosen up some screws.


On a side note, I have JL component midrange and JL 6x9 and most people think that I have subs in the trunk but I have none.
 
I have always liked Infinity Kappa. I am going with Infinity components. My last Kappas were top notch sound.

See I have heard alot of people say that about the W1 but quiet frankly he has the LOUDEST system around. It makes your throat vibrate and your nostrils move. This could have something to do with the fact that this system was set up by a professional that had been in the business for MANY years. IDK I really think it would be hard to beat. Hopefully I can do it.
