Okay I am gettting a price on glass from work The piece is going to be 79" long 36" tall and 20mm deep. What do you guys think of that?

and how should I attach it to the pond?

20 MM is approximately 3/4" and at 36" high, you will have a safety factor of about 2.5x. You will need lots of help moving the glass into place. Be sure to have at least 2" of mounting flange between the glass and the supporting structure on all four edges. GE Silicone II, white paintable, has no toxic chemicals and adheres well to glass and most other materials.

You are looking good!!!

I will have at least 5 inches of mounting space. I just silicone it to the cement blocks? or should I build a wooden frame or something?
