I have a mated pair that I got at the ACA when it was in Milwaukee, actually bought 5 youngsters at the time, but after bonding, the pair offed the others . The male is approx 7" female maybe 5", they rule a 75 gal, and have killed anything I've tried to keep with them. But have spawned 3 or 4 times so far. Quite secretive, they only come out when their fry are in the open grazing.
Beautiful cichlid!.. Might purchase one. Are they better off as a wet pet or could I house him/her in central American community tank 300-350 gallon? Wit your experience
after reading baldtaxguys article, I may have to try giant danios
They are mean and fun to keep. When I first bought mines the first and last time the babies were fighting in the bag
