Cichlasoma (Vieja) synspilum (Redhead Cichlid) Question

Oh and just to clear any discrepancies... the picture I use as my Avatar is the Cichlid in question...his name is Te'alk and the small white patch you can see in the photo is a very old scar from when he decided to smack his head on the tank lid when a stranger approached his space.... he hates strangers :)
It has healed and I have been treating it and monitoring it...hopefully it will fade away to nothing.

Beelzebubs... post a large pic of your fish.
I'll try to post some of mine in a day or two. Also have a big synspilum, (actually i think i have 7) 1 male is 16in, the other male and 5 females are about 11-14inch...they are in my 600g
 
wow, I just noticed this thread is alive and kicking, UPDATE, my bigger one is pushing 3+ inches counting the tail. such a beauty, he changes from the standard boring silver with a black stripe to very dark with some blue in the gill plates whenever he wants, very quickly and very dramatically. the smaller one is about a half inch shorter, just as good of an eater on flakes, pellets, and bloodworms. they even nibble on algae tabs. No color changes that I've seen.


I love these fish.
