Clove Lake fishing (pics)

trust me bottomfeeder, you caught a regular shiner. the reason i know is that the only type of shiner that is abundant enough to catch on hook and line around me is the golden shiner, and it is darker than the one you caught.
 
le its a cell phone pic. im pretty sure its a golden shiner. the one in the OP, anyway. there isnt a fish called a "Shiner." Gene0514 suggested maybe a Grass Carp?...
to me the color was too yellow and the pelvic fins too orange. i thought maybe Rudd, but it was too elongated...

rudd thats it, thats what i was catching. sorry maybe you did catch golden shiners, but i thought both were the same thing and still do
 
Rudd are waaaay more deep bodied than my fish. its probably a Golden Shiner.
lets see if one of the "experts" from the native forum can give us some kind, polite advice :ROFL:
