you shouldnt have ot do anything special with convicts, they breed faster then guppys. Theyre a good choice for feeders.anhwheeler;1341222; said:ok, i didnt nothing special i tore this tank down 3times because of rocks cloudingthe water and have no gravel and my two 1inch convict have wigglers now. i have never done anything special for them .
Oh, that's a good idea, but I have nowhere to put my convict in, just a 29g that is stuffed already. My male is pretty big, like 3 inches. I'd get a smaller pair, but I just can't give up my male, I don't have the heart....darn myself!!!!!fishlvr;1339904; said:Take the male out, put the female in for a couple days so she can get used to the surroundings and establish a "territory", then add the male. Your chances for breeding go WAY up.
10g tanks!!!!sheez, that is nothing....I know two stores in my city that breed their cons in Home Depot buckets....I beleive the buckets are orange(duh) and are 5g.....I have actually seen about five bucket setups in total....Sick, yeah, but works....Throw in a $5-10 heater, 1lb of gravel, small clay flowering pot, and an AC20.....Ba-da-bing-ba-da-boom..............Nabbig2;1339603; said:Oh my god I knew it was possible to breed convicts in a 10g!!!! Please, tell me how your gf breeds convicts in a 10g. I have a male in the 10g, but he always kills the female...it's making me very upset. Tips please?
