I loved that old one, a pity the tank leaked. BUT, like you said each time you do it, you do a better one. Can't wait to see this next one.

dang dude that sux, can't wait to see the new one:popcorn:.
Quick question, has the concrete ever chipped off any of the backgrounds u built??? I built one a month ago for my 10gl feeder tank (it was my first attempt at a DIY background), and I don't know if it was the concrete or the styrofoam I used, but after I built it, small pieces kept chipping off every time I touched it:swear:.

yes, concrete chipped and fell apart on some of my older backgrounds.
hydrolic cement didnt work well either. i put on thick coats on both of them, but they still didnt work out that well.

i found the cement i used on this one was the best yet, and im going to use it again. I only picked up the styrofoam so far though.

Nice work Joey, inspiring. Any updated pics on it?

this tank sprung a leak last month, and the manufacturer replaced it free of cost, but i wanted to keep the background, while removing it, i broke most of the right hand side in half! instead of fixing it, i decieded to toss it and will be starting a new one shortly.
