That is a sweet looking setup, but I'll have to agree to snip some of the green from the middle and open it up just a little more. Other than that you did an outstanding job. I love the follow through you did with this DIY as well. Thanks!

Thanks, i think i may change the plants completly to something less lush. There was alot of choices when i got these. I will try thinning them out first though.

They seem to have coloured up nicely since the first photo showing them in.

Great work.
I agree, they seem to be more relaxed now. I find my uaru are like oscars, in that they change there colors with mood.

I ended up taking one of the plants out, seems to look a little better. Im going to look for a different type of plant in the mean time, something more thin. I also removed the rock from the bottom of the tank. I like the look of it with out the rock.

what do you guys think? keep the plants as is? or try to thin them out more? or try a different plant?

awesome job!
thanks!

heres an update on this background, during the time i had it in my tank, i had ZERO issues with water quality or levels. the fish seemed to love it as well.........

this tank sprung a leak last month, and the manufacturer replaced it free of cost, but i wanted to keep the background, while removing it, i broke most of the right hand side in half! instead of fixing it, i decieded to toss it and will be starting a new one shortly. i decieded to throw it out because this was not my first background build and with every one i make, they get better.

my next one will be incorpeating a large tree trunk into the back corner of the tank, and the rocks with not be in the same type of shape(not rounded this time)

wish me luck!!
