A few years ago I kept a 9" male in a 6x2x2 along with an assortment of other species I was growing out at the time. Although he never really caused much in the way of physical trauma he did behave rather waspish. I had to move him to the 4x2x2 after a couple of months which he then shared quite happily with a rusty plec and a handful of leopard ctenopoma.

I've never thought that festae or tetracanthus were uber aggressive in the right size tank.
In a 240 (if all territory is not already carved out by the other cichlids) aggression may be minimal.
If you put either species in anything 100 gallons or under and expect thing to be copasetic, disappointment may be in your future.
Hey Duane’s- what this fish in the front? A Chuco species?
