Had planned on taking photos tonight and getting the sump running on the 1400L tomorrow, but I've been called in for a 4am start tomorrow morning, so it'll have to wait til after that...

your Satanoperca Leucosticta you currently have looks more like Satanoperca sp. "Sinuous",
Due to the facial markings, it looks more squiggly , rather than the spots the Leucosticta has,
Here in Australia, they are very rare, i dont know about NZ but it looks like you may have something rare on your hands

Maybe, but I wouldn't get too hopeful. It's probably more like Satanoperca Sp "Pond #4, Gung Ho Fish Farm, Malaysia"....

Thanks. I wish I took more time to update it. Don't hold your breath for new pics, our house got burgled last week so I'm waiting on insurance to sort out a new camera.
Aside from the TV, camera and my partners jewlery box, they onlly took stupid stuff like make up, canned food, mouthwash, shampoo etc. They didn't trash the place or get into the garage and fishroom so we're pretty lucky I guess.
