These came finialy also. They were hot glued, and semi submerged. Two are still going after 6 months. The new ones are 10 watt 660nm reds, they will be wet or dry, with an aluminum heat sink.

1100 ml of purigen. Was able to fit about 700 to 800 in the jp-084 had i gotten the larger filter i may have been able to fit more. Going to let bag i could not fit sit in front of the returns of the filter in the sump

I have a Red Sea ozone generator, as it came with one exception of my tanks. I'll set it up on the 210 while I'm waiting for parts to arrive for the nitrate filter.

If anyone wants to look into ozone dosing, it's more expensive than a nitrate filter, but will likely need less maintenence.

This is about the most budget friendly ozone generator I could find. 15 minutes per hour for 350g tanks, and 5-10 mins per hour for 200-250g tanks.

It works like an air pump. Put the air stone in your sump, and set the built in timer.

I built this a few months ago to release O2 into the water.

Could this help algae grow faster on scubbers if used on a timer? Higher oxygenated water = more algae growth ... up to a point at least.

How's it work, looks like a lot if watts of electricity. Carbon dioxide will grow land plants twice as fast at high concentrations.

My 5 gallons of denitrated water is at 0ppm. The jars compare denitrated with bacterial cloudiness, to clean tap water.




Been to busy on other projects. To try. But I am thinking that it should not be difficult to build a an effluent fillter, or a fractionator. To single pass the water through, before mixing it back to the tank.

It apoears the water fall aplication yields far better results than the uplflow. How has this one impacted nitrates ?
