Not muvk flow but has anyone thought of using this idea to feed a sump.

yea i did something similar to this, on my ac 70 i just extended the tube, all i did there was got a pvc to fit over the first tube and got a connector so itd slip into the second tube. Also on my marineland 350 i did more of a style like this and increased the number of holes along the way to cover a greater area

Can this only be done with one sided flow hob? Or can a two sided one be used by just using a "T" in the middle and making the intake further out. (hopefully you can understand what I mean)

Its better to have just one intake. When you split it, you diffuse the intake. Basically you lose "sucking power" on each end. It will still suck water, but not as much of the solids.

Good idea. im gonna try this.

Also i cant believe nobody has mentioned 45 degree fittings. You cut lots a flow with multiple 90's when you could replace a 90 with a 45 here and there if it was a different build based on your idea bitter.
