THIS IS AWESOME!!! I love this build, especially since you're not like a professional contractor or someone who works with wood, etc., you're just a normal guy building an amazing pond. I wish, I lived somewhere with more stable temperatures so I could do something like this in my garage. In the summer, my garage temperatures fluctuate from 40F at night to 110F midday, so yea, a pond in my garage would not work. But I was thinking of doing something like this outside, though. Anyways, great job. keep up the updates cause I am officially SUBSCRIBED!
Thanks for the kind words. I can assure you it's not perfect but it seems to do the job so far. :)

this is awesome. You inspire me to do something like this myself. hopefully i won't get evicted....lol
Thanks and really I don't think there is any reason to worry about that. It's just a big fish tank.

Great progress. Its always nice to see a build come together so quickly. Interested in seeing your filter setup.
I've got progress of that below. Thanks :)

I got a small over head filter made up from scrap wood but didn't have as much liner left as I thought. Just long narrow sections. So this is what I made, I got started on the waterfall and stuff.

BioMedia will go here covered in rocks and plants.

There will be more rocks, plants and such added all around. Just a start...

I went to school for interrior design and Im looking at a way that would make that pond awesome. Line the whole top with those flat rocks you have, mabye use a dab of sylicone to secure them. Get a large potted banana tree and put it in the corner where that net is, the leaves are huge and would hide a lot of that area. place your branches in the same place you have them. If you can, get some bare tree branches and put them in the pond where the tops are sticking out of the water.

That is pretty much the plan as far as lining the edge with rocks. :) I just need a bunch more. I don't know how well a tree would grow without any sun light. I need super low light plants, as I will just be hanging 1 4' light above it. I will be putting a lot of Lucky Bamboo in it for sure. I am not sure if any of the tank safe wood I have is over 27" tall (Water level) but having them stick out of the water is a good idea. I have quite a few pieces to go in though, we'll see what I can come up with. I like that idea.

I intend to more or less cover everything in rocks/wood/plants so the only other thing you see is water and fish. Small update for tonight....
