Thanks. She is a great dog, she is my Gf's dog but since she moved in the dog comes with the deal. They are funny dogs though so it's all good.

Ghetto overflow. My own made up in my head design. It will get trimmed out, so you won't see it.

Thanks :)

------------

It's got about 10" of water in it now, which should be about 150 gallons. I'm gonna add another 10" of water tonight then get the liner as tight as I can and put the top brace on before adding the final 8" of water. It is a PITA to get the liner to sit flush in the corners and there is all this extra liner piled up. I am not sure how everyone deals with that. We'll see once more water is in it.

Quick question, why did you put foam on the inside of the pond? Doesn't that create a soft area behind the liner leading to an easy puncture?

You know, a couple more rolls of duct tape and you might not have needed the rubber liner ;).

Looking good man. That thing probably won't budge a mm with all that tape holding it together...

PM nolapete, he's got this super-special secret method of folding the liner that just makes that extra liner in the corners disappear...

Exact opposite, if it was on wood directly the liner would have no give. Where as with the foam if you push a sharp object into it the liner can give some instead of getting punctured. It is mainly there for insulation purposes though. Keep in mind these mostly get used outside on dirt, which would also give under the liner some if pushed. This foam is pretty stiff though you can't just push your finger into it, it's very dense.

With all that said you'd be hard pressed to puncture one of these Firestone liners. They are thick and very elastic.

:grinno: Yea, I kind of went overboard with the tape, oh well it won't hurt.

I'll have to if I can't figure it out tonight, I have looked at some pics though and I think I see how people do it.
