Good question.... The answer is, you put it to the test!!!

I have around 3k gallons worth of fish in the house and always fill a tank, use pre existing filters from another tank. And instantly I have a established tank. I have been asked many times if any of that stuff works and have heard great reviews about Seachem stability. So I had to find out the answer so I could give people a honest opinion.

So I set up a 125g with bare bottom, three unseeded emp. 400's (hob filters), and added 12 of my favorite koi to the tank, they were all between six to ten inches long. I only used about 4 inches of their old water in the 125g with them in it, then I filled it up with tap water and added prime. I dosed the tank as instructed by the bottle of stability. Twice the amount the first day and single doses for the next seven days. I fed them every day up to several times a day so the stability built up the strength to maintain that bio load. The first three days it was cloudy, day three being the cloudiest, I couldn't even see thru the tank, but I let the stability do it's job cycling. Day four was much more clear, days five thru eight crystal clear. After day eight I did a xxxl water change and from their out maintained regular care and feeding. All is still well six months later.

All in all, now I can honestly say stability does work!!!

Interesting, that was quite a risk to take with your favorite fish.

Honestly, if I thought it was a risk, I wouldn't have done it...
I had done alot of research and read lot's of peoples testimony's outcomes with stability. All positive, so I had to prove it. That way I could pass a honest opinion on to people who are starting up their first tank. Usually when people visit my fishroom, they leave wanting to set up a fishtank. Instead of giving everybody live bb, now I can recomend stability. It will work as long as you follow fish keeping feeding rules. Overfeeding is a no-no. Only what they can eat in a very short period of time. And regular water changes after that, etc...

Its weird how people can say something doesnt work even though they never tried it.... I guess different strokes for different folks

Makes sense,I'll keep this in mind...BTW got any shots of your fish room?

I have to say the same for safestart (not trying to say its better than stability) but that stuff is legit man. In less than a week I was done on two different tanks. One or two doses is all it takes
